Description
Location. The contemporary, nine floor Hotel Palace Berlin in central Berlin, Germany, is 500 metres from the shopping street of Kurfurstendamm. Tiergarten park, the Story of Berlin Museum and KaDeWe department store are within one kilometre of the hotel. Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL) is 10 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. A revolving door opens into the marble lobby, where uniformed doormen and porters greet guests.
Overlooking the Tiergarten park, Bon dia serves buffet breakfast. The Michelin starred First Floor Restaurant specialises in French and German cuisine amid rosewood panelling and hand knotted carpets. Drinks, snacks and cocktails are on the menu at the lobby "Lounge Bar" with live piano music every evening except Sundays. Evoking a traditional smoking room with dark wood panelling and black leather armchairs, Sam's Bar offers 40 single malts and Cuban cigars.
The Hotel Palace Berlin houses 18 function rooms, including a ballroom for up to 1,000 people.
The expansive Palace Spa has a sauna, solarium and fitness room with cardiovascular equipment. There is also an indoor pool flanked by plants and loungers, hot tub, ice grotto and relaxation room on site. Expert Tip. Departing from in front of the hotel, the number 100 and 200 buses follow the same route as many more expensive sightseeing tours. A seat on the top deck is perfect to take in the main landmarks between Berlin Zoo and Alexander Platz square.

Distance to the Hotel Palace Berlin is 10 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Taxis are available in front of the terminal's lower level and cost about 15 EUR. The number 109 airbus runs to Zoologischer Garten station, which is on the U Bahn (underground system). The X9 is an express airport shuttle, connecting to central Berlin, the main train station, and the Zoologischer Garten U Bahn station. All buses leave from the upper level. Tickets should be validated prior to boarding. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. The Hotel Palace Berlin is situated next to the Europa Centre and 500 metres from Kurfurstendamm's shops. The best way to get around Berlin is to use its public transport system (BVG). Travel on buses, trains, ferries and trams, as well as all U Bahn (underground) and S Bahn (over ground) services, is covered by one ticket.
Driving directions. From Berlin Tegel Airport, cross the junction with Saatwinkler Damm.
Turn right onto Autobahn 111 which turns into the A100.
Take the Kaiserdamm exit, turn left into Knobelsdorff Strasse, right into Charlotten Strasse and left into Kaiserdamm which turns into Bismarck Strasse.
At the roundabout, take a right into Hardenberg Strasse.
Continue straight and turn left when Hardenberg Strasse becomes Budapester Strasse.
The hotel is on the right hand side next to the Berlin Tourist Office.
